Date and time
The 4th edition of Copenhagen Inline Challenge is held on September 9th 2012 from 11 AM – 5 PM. The venue will be open from 9 AM – 6 PM.
Place
The route is in the eastern part of Copenhagen – called Amager – only 2 km. from the Copenhagen City Hall Square. Start and finish is right next to Islands Brygge Metro station.

Distances
As participant you can choose from 3 different races:
- Marathon, 42 km (6 laps)
- Half Marathon, 21 km – or you can during the race choose to skate only 7 or 14 km
- Childrens race, 3 km (1 lap on a shorter route)

Registration fees
Online and email registration are open until September 8th, 2012.
Discount apply to early registrations until May 31st.
From September 3rd a late registration fee will apply.
Registration is also possible on race day until 2 hours before start of the race – as long as we has not reach the participant limit.

Marathon race (42 km)
The marathon is the main event, and as participant in this event you will get a little more than in the other races.
Gold, Silver and Bronze results – new in 2012
This year you can try to race for a bronze, silver or gold result. The time results will be adjusted for agegroup and gender.
Medals and prizes
All skaters that finish the marathon will receive a memory medal in the finishing area. After the race each participant can download a certificate with the personal result.
Top 3 men and women will receive a prize and a podium medal.
Agegroup winners in each of the agegroups divided in men and women: 14-15 years, 16-17 years, 18-29 years, 30-39 years, 40-49 years, 50-59 years, 60 years and older – will recieve a gift.
The podium ceremoni will be held right after finish of the race.
Time limit
The marathon race (6 laps) must be finished within 3 hours.
Age limitation
In order to participate in the 42 km the participant must be born in 1998 or earlier (age of 14 years or older).
Half Marathon race (7, 14 and 21 km)
If you register for the half marathon, you can during the race choose if you want to race 1, 2 or 3 laps (7, 14 or 21 km).
Results and certificates
All participants will recive a personal result and certificate that can be download after the race. There will be a resultlist for each distance, 7, 14 and 21 km.
Time limit
The half marathon race (1, 2 or 3 laps) must be finished within 1½ hour.
Age limitation
In order to participate in the half maraton race the participant must be born in 2000 or earlier (age of 12 years or older).
Children race (3 km)
Medals and prizes
All the children will receive memory medal in the finishing area.
Top 3 boys and girls will receive a gift at a podium ceremoni that will be held right after finish of the race.
Time limit
The children race must be finished within 30 minutes.
Age limitation
In order to participate in the children race the participant must be born in year 2000 or later (12 years or younger).
Common for all races
Timing
All races will be timed with a chip, and all participants will receive a personal timeresult. Results and certificates will be available at SPORTI shortly after the race.
Rules
The races follow the official Danish rules for inline road races – very similar to the rules by Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports.
Accordingly to this rules, both inline skates and side-by-side skates are allowed, but skateboards and skaters with sticks are not allowed.
All races will be raced in counterclockwise direction.
Helmet
All participants must wear a certified helmet!
The helmet must be certified for use in the trafic and it must not be dammaged. If you don’t have a helmet your self, you can rent one when you register for the race. Helmet must be picked up together with the startnumber, and must be returned after the race.
Transportation
Roads in the area will be closed during the races, and we recommend arriving with the Metro train. The Islands Brygge Metro station is right next to the start venue.
If you arrive by car, we recommend parking outside the route, at BellaCentret or Fields, from where you can walk og take the Metro train.
The start venue is only 5 km from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) and is connected with the Metro.
Weather
The races will be carried through unconditionally of the weather. Rain will not cause the race to be cancelled.
