Copenhagen Inline Challenge is the realisation of a dream to make a big inline roller skating event in the capitol of Denmark – Copenhagen.
The race has become a reality after several meetings about how to promote roller skating in Copenhagen. An opportunity occurred to arrange an Inline Skating Challenge in connection with the Triathlon European Championship. After a good and positive dialog with the people behind the triathlon event, we were given the opportunity to extend the time of the cordoned off area Sunday evening, to carry out the Inline Challenge.
2008 was a dry year for Copenhagen Inline Challenge. No opportunities for realising the race was found. The Friday Night Skate kept the city rolling meanwhile.
This 2nd edition of Copenhagen Inline Challenge has been realised primarily through the cooperation with World Outgames.
The efforts put into arranging Copenhagen Inline Challenge primarily come from Vesterbro Roller skating Club, but all through the procedure Danish Roller Skating Union (Dansk Rulleskøjte Union) has supported.
Our aim is to make Copenhagen Inline Challenge an annual event in Copenhagen.
